Schools Performance Management

Program Overview:
This program helps school managers to advance and promote Integrated Quality Management System processes, procedures and principles. It supports and promotes the ‘norms and standards’ of quality management, control and performance. It underpins the application of developing and appraising teachers in the design and delivery of quality work.
Program Objectives:
By the end of this program, you will gain an understanding of the following:
- The rationale behind the elements and concept performance planning.
- Strategic planning as an effective organisational development tool.
- How to gauge the organisational performance against the strategic performance.
- How to manage and improve organisational performance via the strategic planning exercise. Ways of reviewing strategic plans.
- The roles and performance of divisions or departments against the strategic plans.
- Guidelines for rewarding performance and supporting new appointments.
- Adapting a business Balance Scorecard to an Academic Organisation
- Measuring success in Performance Appraisal and Management using templates and guides
Methodology:
- The training and development sessions will be done through practical workshops.
- Learners will receive a Learner Pack and CD with exemplars and videos.
- Continuing email and telephonic support is provided at no additional cost. On-site visits will also be conducted.
- All training will be conducted in English by our trained facilitators who have a proficiency in the language and the subject matter.
Assessment:
- Evaluating applied experiential activities during the course and on-site action-learning activities documented to demonstrate competence in relation to the skills taught. A certificate of attendance recognised by the South African Council for Educators (SACE) with 40 notional hours workshop time and 40 hours on-site application.
