In order to achieve its objectives, C.L.A.S.S. Consulting has adopted an integrated approach to curriculum and assessment development. This approach has contributed significantly to challenge the traditional sectoral barriers such as the binary divide and historical non-OBE types.

C.L.A.S.S. Consulting participants have especially valued the relationships and support networks that have developed between educators after events. C.L.A.S.S. Consulting’s objectives are to:

  • develop an informed perspective of the challenges facing academic leaders in a complex and changing education environment.
  • promote the development of creative problem solving through expert input, self-reflection and group interaction.
  • acquire new skills that would contribute towards effective, proactive leadership and management in education institutions.
  • formally and informally engage with other participants, exchange ideas and share experiences that support personal and institutional development
  • close the gap between policy and practice through ‘fit for purpose’ content and assessment
